HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Thanksgiving! What a wonderful holiday! How fitting it is, Gracious God, that we have a day set aside to give thanks for all the blessings we have received. Our ancestors declared a day of worshipping to celebrate simply having enough to survive; whether it be through poverty of material goods, through poverty of spirit or poverty through a pandemic. We give you thanks, with a grateful heart, for bounty well beyond the necessities of life. We are blessed to live in a country like Canada. We are blessed to live amongst and alongside the Indigenous peoples of this land; to be amongst those who have not only enough, but enough to share with others. We rejoice at your blessing O Creator Spirit, and Maker of all, and pray that your Holy Spirit will lead us in an ardent effort to see that the whole world shares in your abundant gifts. Please stay well and keep safe.
