Weddings, water & wine

When you think about the Wedding at Cana – that time when Jesus turned water into wine – does it strike you as odd that he chose to use his power to make sure that a party doesn’t run out of booze? When you compare it with Jesus' other big miracles – feeding the hungry, opening the eyes of the blind, raising the dead – keeping the wine flowing seems like a low-stakes need, doesn't it? Could that be part of the point?
