Two weeks ago, we began our Fall Stewardship Campaign with a letter from our Clergy Team. This week, it's the wardens' turn to share some thoughts on what the theme of the campaign – Walk in Love – means to them. Their letter to the parish is attached to this article, but here's an excerpt:
Throughout this year we have been inspired by the ways you care for each other. We have eaten at the table with you at Patronal Feast, Stampede Breakfast, First Friday, potlucks, sharing your kitchen tricks and recipes. You have helped and supported each other when struggling or needing a hand or a shoulder. This is what it means to be in community with each other – this is what walking in love looks like. We have so many gifts to share here, gifts of time, talent, and treasure that we freely give to support our ministry and to do the work of mission in our neighborhoods and communities. We do this not out of a sense that we will get back what we give, but because we are motivated by love.
Also attached you'll find Crossing Boundaries – this week's Walk In Love Reflection, and two cards: one that talks about proportional giving, and a pledge card you're invited to reflect on and fill out, once you have discerned how God is calling your family to contribute to our parish (financially and otherwise) in the New Year. The pledge card is also available online, for those who prefer to provide this information digitally.
Thank you for your contributions of our shared ministry. We look forward to continuing to Walk in Love with you, in 2025 and beyond...
