To plan well for the future, you need to understand the past, and have a good grip on the present.

That's one of the reasons that Assistant People's Warden Peter Minnema embarked during the winter on an enormous project: to speak, personally, with every member of St. Peter's Anglican Church, and learn about their demographics and their dreams for the parish. With some help from a few friends (and one Friend in particular), the job is complete and he's going to share what he learned with the congregation this Sunday, October 6.

"The primary objectives of the survey were to to identify channels of communication, to enhance or implement new services, to retain existing members and hopefully, to acquire new members," Peter explains. "Conversations were structured around two questions: 'What does St. Peter’s mean to you?' and 'What would make St. Peter’s more meaningful to you?'"

His presentation will take the place of the sermon in this week's 10 a.m. service, and Rev. Bonnie will share a few thoughts after he's finished. He'll be referring to PowerPoint slides that will be projected, so we're all encouraged to sit near the front of the Sanctuary!
