First Friday Club (March): First Friday Club will have a wine and cheese, with entertainment by local musician Will Mehew, on Friday, March 6th at 7 pm in the lower hall. Will, will be playing stringed instruments, along with the opportunity to do some sing-along, from 7:30 to 8:15 pm. First Friday Club (CPO): The Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra hold Open Rehearsals for seniors on a Friday morning, usually monthly (schedule varies). As it is a working rehearsal, the conductor may stop the orchestra at any point, to correct or go over a passage again. These rehearsals are to be treated as a concert requiring appropriate audience etiquette. The cost is $15 per person (cash). The First Friday Club is setting up a group booking to attend these rehearsals. It is mandatory for me to register our names one week before the rehearsal, and our group must have a minimum of four people attending. The easiest way to get to the Jack Singer Concert Hall is by C-train. You pay when you arrive, and our group could meet in the foyer around 9:45 am The following dates are the next scheduled open rehearsals: March 6 10 am BEETOVEN 3: HEROIC; April 3 10 am RUSH HOUR: BEST OF MOZART; and May 29 10 am BEETHOVEN 4: BOLD. If you are interested in attending any one, or all, of these open rehearsal concerts, please let me know as soon as possible. Liturgical Meeting: The next Liturgical meeting will be held Tuesday, March 24 at 1:00 pm.
Bulletins: For this season of Lent, we are reusing our bulletins every week, so please make sure to keep them in good condition and leave them as you depart on Sunday morning.
Tax Receipts: Tax receipts for 2019 have been placed in their respective narthex mailboxes. If they are not collected in the next week or so, they will be mailed out.
Rummage Sale: Spring is almost here! It is time for Spring Fever! As you clear out items, think about the Rummage Sale on May 7, 2020.
World Day of Prayer: is being held at the Southwood United Church, 10690 Elbow Drive, SW on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 1:30pm. This service has been created by the women of Zimbabwe. Mah Jongg Lessons at the church on Wednesday afternoon in March 1 p.m. to 3 p.m:During March Pam Milne (milnei[at]telusplanet[dot]net) and Elaine Montgomery (elmont[at]shaw[dot]ca) will be teaching the ancient game of Mah Jongg to anyone who wants to join us. The game can be played with 3, 4 or 5 people per table. If you are interested, please contact one of us and we will send you more details. After March the group can decide if they want to continue and which day/time is preferable.

Parish Council: The Parish Council has had our first meeting. Each of us was assigned a specific role to consider. We will have a retreat on March the 14th, 2020 to determine if we are comfortable and/or have the skills to perform our assigned roles.
