We are saddened to announce that longtime St. Peter's parishioner Henry Astle, beloved husband of Norma Lillian Astle (nee Webb), has passed away.
He was born on January 16, 1929, in Lethbridge, AB, to George Astle and Faith Astle (nee Davies) of Coutts, AB. He was raised in Southern Alberta on a dairy farm, and, after a brief stint as a teacher, went on to obtain his Chartered Accountant designation. He had a long and successful career in the oil industry in Calgary, mostly with Dome Petroleum. Read his obituary here.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to The Salvation Army of Calgary.
In the meantime, your prayers are asked for the Astle family, and all who loved Henry. May he rest in peace and rise in glory!
