A powerful leadership retreat

If St. Peter's clergy, wardens, ministry heads and parish council seem a little more upbeat and encouraged this week, it probably has something to do with last Saturday's leadership retreat.

We gathered and spend most of February 2 in prayer, study and worship – with Archbishop Greg Kerr-Wilson facilitating. Our discussions were structured around Haggai 2:6-9 and Hebrews 12:25-29 in the morning, and on Mission Proclamation (Matthew 28:18-20) and Mission Outreach (Matthew 25:34-40) in the afternoon. We came away from the day with renewed unity and commitment to our parish and its future. We're convinced that if we remain true to our call to proclamation and outreach, our parish's best days are ahead (as per Haggai 2:9), and God is going to shake the heavens and the earth (as per Hebrews 12:26-27) as he grows our church.
