Tonight's Church@7 service will celebrate the Reign of Christ. The church introduced this feast in 1925 – a time when the modern age was in high gear, and people were choosing to live in the Kingdom of the World rather than in the Reign of God – and when governments were drifting away from the idea that they are under God. Ninety-nine years later, this feast is as relevant as ever. It's a reminder to all of us that regardless of who’s President or Prime Minister, Jesus is still King, and he calls all of us to be his subjects.
We'll share some thoughts on this topic tonight at 7, and we'll pray our way through some of Psalm 72. We'll also sing worship songs that connect with themes from both of these readings. Stay afterwards for warm cookies & coffee, or chips & salsa and lemonade – or all of the above.
